 "Worship on the Lawn"
Sunday's 10:00 am

Per the recommendations of the UMC Bishop and Cabinet and in an continued effort to protect the well being of our congregation, Park Avenue will, (weather permitting), be holding a “Worship on the Lawn” worship service each Sunday at 10:00 am and through the month of June and July (or until further notice) for those that wish to come. At this time, the Bishop and Cabinet do not feel it is safe to return to indoor worship.  Please see his current announcement at the end of this section. You may also visit the WNCUMC website for more information.

Please bring your own lawn chair and your Bible.

We are so happy that we are able to meet again for worship, but it is vitally important if we want to continue to meet for worship, we as a church family and visitors MUST observe all social distancing requirements of 6ft.....before, during and after worship while we are on the church property.  When you arrive, please follow all instructions on where you may sit.  Until further notice the building will remain closed.  Sanitizing supplies will also be made available for your use.

In the event of rain or pending rain, or for those who wish to remain at home,

we will have worship on Facebook Live.

Thank you for your understanding as we continue to do the best we can to be safe and well during this time of difficulty and uncertainty.  Have a blessed, well and safe week.  We look forward to seeing you Sunday.

In Christian Love,
Pastor Vickie Wilson

Updated Information from our Bishop and Cabinet

June 25, 2020

As faithful disciples of Jesus Christ in the midst of our response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we remain committed to our Biblical mandate to "love our neighbors as ourselves" and our Wesleyan call to “do no harm.” In doing so, we seek ways to engage faithfully in worship, study, and ministry while ensuring the health and safety of our members and communities.

We do not recommend returning to indoor worship at this time.  Continue hosting online, drive-in, or outdoor worship services while following CDC, state and local guidelines, including handwashing, wearing masks, and observing physical distancing rules.
